PARALELO 34 · 2027
The first edition of Paralelo 34 Film Festival will take
place in Argentina in June 2027.
It will mark the starting point of an international festival bringing together films and filmmakers
who tell stories about people, society, technology, culture and a changing world.
Paralelo 34 combines an international competition with a physical
festival program in Argentina. Digital formats may be used to expand
international participation and communication with filmmakers from
different countries.
Films are reviewed by the festival team according to the rules and
programming directions of Paralelo 34.
From the Official Selection, the jury will determine the nominees and winners of
the first edition.
Winners will be selected by an independent jury.
Awards will recognize films and filmmakers for artistic quality, originality of
perspective and their ability to explore the festival’s themes through the
language of cinema.
The full list of competition categories and special awards will be
announced before the final stage of the selection process.
Exact dates and the location of the festival program will be announced once the venue in Argentina is officially confirmed.
2027 will be the first edition of Paralelo 34. We are starting with a focused
international program and a real festival event in Argentina.
Building Paralelo 34 step by step while expanding its geographical reach,
professional connections and international community.
